Have no idea how this whole BLOG thing works...but here I am giving it a try. Goal is to use this site/Blog to document, in writing and in pictures, the Montana hunting trip Dad and I are taking this Fall. We are headed to Montana High Country Lodge (http://www.mhct.com/), in Polaris, Montana. Our hunt is a 2 x 1 guided, combo hunt for elk and deer (whitetail or muley).
Plan is to leave Hartland, WI, on Thursday, October 25....and arrive in Polaris, MT 1,437 miles later on Saturday, October 27. Hunt 28th through 2nd of November, and begin trek home on Saturday, November 3.
Will post more as we near departure date. Meanwhile, we will each spend coming months getting in shape for the miles of mountain terrain we will hike each day. More later...
